The Museum of Humor and the Directorate of Culture in San Antonio de los Baños hold the IX El Loquito National Youth Hall of Humor, dedicated to René de la Nuez.
All young Cubans, between the ages of 15 and 35, whether or not he or she lives in the country, can participate in the categories of General Humor, Political Satire, Personal Caricature, Cartoon, Photography and Tonimetric Humor.
The works will be done with a free technique and on any support. Graphic works must not be longer than 100 cm in length and 65 cm in width. For volumetric pieces, the measurement should not exceed 74 cm in width, but the height is at the discretion of the author.
Up to 3 works can be sent per genre, and they must be unpublished (at least for our salons).
The entry and award jury, made up of specialists, will award: Grand Prize, one prize for each category and the Museum of Humor Prize. The winning artists will receive accredited diplomas.
The entry deadline expires on September 10, 2024.
All works must be identified on the back with the author’s information:
-Name and surname
- Age
- ID card or mini card number
-Private address
-Telephone
-Email address
-Work or place of study
Works must include: title, genre and applied technique. Send to the email [email protected]
The award ceremony will take place on September 20 this year, at 10:00 am at the Humor Museum.
The winning works will be displayed until December 20, 2024. The works participating in the Salon can be collected from January to March 31, 2025. When this period expires, they will contribute to the funds of the Institute.
