“They screamed in fear”: assistants punished toddlers in a shocking way Difficult to watch

by time news

Workers at a kindergarten located in Hamilton, Mississippi, allegedly tried to punish, through intimidation, some children who they claimed were behaving “inappropriately”. Four of them were fired following the incident, WTVA reported.

A disturbing 2:19-minute video showed a nanny scaring the unfortunate children by wearing a mask of a character from a horror movie and making frightening noises. The documentation, shocking to say the least, went viral and took over social networks. One of the workers, who called herself “Sisi”, insisted that the act was not “with bad intent”. “The teachers asked me if I wanted to wear the mask to make the children disciplined. I don’t abuse the children, we were just joking,” said the caregiver.

According to her, this is an idea that came to her mind and there is no connection between the incident and the daycare owner, Sheila Sanders. Now, the staff members are being investigated after the videos recorded by the daycare’s security cameras, in which the caregiver is seen wearing a mask of a character from the movie “The Scream”, caused an uproar across the Internet. The Mississippi State Department of Health and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office are demanding answers and are working with the District Attorney, who is expected to file charges against the employee.

Sanders, the director of the daycare center for two decades, claimed that one of the videos was taken last month and the last one on Tuesday. “The employees who committed these acts are no longer with us. They were fired as soon as we discovered their misdeeds. I was not present that day and did not know that they tried to scare the toddlers. The matter is being handled and will be investigated in depth,” said the daycare owner.
