The theft was committed in a nightclub in Catanzaro and the necklace, just over 15 days after the theft, popped up on the Facebook marketplace, on sale for 400 euros. The victim, a 26-year-old from the province of Reggio Emilia, recognized it and immediately set off, making an appointment with the seller for the exchange. Before reaching the man who had put his necklace in the window, the young man from Emilia told the Portici Carabinieri everything. The military also arrived at the meeting. They identified the seller, a 38-year-old from Portici (Naples), and cornered him: he spontaneously handed over the necklace, which was then returned to its rightful owner. The man was reported and will have to answer for receiving stolen goods.
