The sailboat ‘Bout’Sol’flying the French flag and with two people on board, has had to be towed after suffering damage to the rudder due to an interaction with orcas about six miles west of Monte Louroat the entrance of the Muros y Noia estuary.

As confirmed by sources Maritime Rescue to Europa Press, the crew have raised the alarm at 03:35 this Saturday through the VHF.

Shortly after, they reported that they suffered damage to the rudder and that they are requesting assistance. Thus, Salvamento Marítimo had already mobilized the ‘Slavamar Regulus’ which has towed them to the port of Muros, where they arrived at around 07:15.

However, the same sources have confirmed that all crew members were fine and unharmed.
