From May 1 to 15, all the fountains in Varna will be opened, including the one on “Nezavisimost” square. This was reported by the company that maintains the facilities, during the regular operation of all administrative units in the Municipality of Varna.
The fountain next to the Municipality building, however, needs more serious repair, not just maintenance, for which a survey has been appointed.
In the same period, after due inspection, the city fountains, including those in the Sea Garden, will be released in stages.
Mayor Blagomir Kotsev has ordered an inspection of the water fountain on the promenade under the “Rakovina” stage, the possibilities of restoring the arch and the water supply to it, the press service of the administration reports.
This week, the phased cleaning of public transport stops will begin, and after the holidays, many of them will be repaired, informed Deputy Mayor Dian Ivanov, whose department is responsible for municipal property.
Mayor Kotsev asked the regional administrations for a list of subways to be prioritized in a list for lighting rehabilitation, to be washed and repainted, following the example of the bus station subway.
Kotsev has commissioned the formation of a task force to inspect all elevators and platforms for disabled people, analyze maintenance contracts and compile a comprehensive report on the condition of the facilities, most of which are currently out of service.
Another working group of several municipal directorates will deal with the bikes and scooters that are rented out and placed on municipal property. At the moment, the municipality has not issued a permit for commercial activity, it became clear during the operation.
It was also ordered to see the condition of the public toilets, the possibilities of granting them a concession and bringing them into a unified form, including those in the Sea Garden.
