The central police unit arrested for questioning three suspects from Shalom Domarni’s crime organization, who were allegedly trying to take over delivery lines in Kiryat Malachi.

The central unit of the Lachish area in cooperation with the Kiryat Malachi station and district units conducted an undercover investigation during the last two weeks, following information received by the investigators, according to which there was a suspicion of crimes of extortion by threats against business owners in the city of Kiryat Malachi and the surrounding area, against the background of satisfying delivery services that are used daily for management and promoting their business.

From the undercover investigation, the suspicion arose that the three, in their 30s, residents of Ashkelon and Kiryat Gat, who are suspected of belonging to the crime organization of Domerani as mentioned above, during the last two weeks contacted business owners who use delivery services on a regular basis, and allegedly “informed” them that from now on they should contact to the delivery company operated by the suspects, as deliveries will not be provided by another person.

At the same time, it is suspected, couriers operating in the area every day were also threatened, in order to make them stop providing delivery services to the business owners.

With the transition of the investigation to the overt phase, the suspects were arrested last night by the Himar detectives and the Yoav unit, and they were interrogated on suspicion of extortion by threats, conspiracy to commit a crime, and the vehicle they used was seized.

Today the suspects will be brought before the Magistrate’s Court with a request to extend their detention. The police call on business owners or couriers who were harmed by the three, to contact the nearest police station and file a complaint.
