Nearly BGN 16 million will be invested for the development of tourism in the border regions of Bulgaria and North Macedonia. This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.

The acceptance of full project proposals under the Territorial Strategy of the INTERREG VI-A Program IPP Bulgaria-North Macedonia 2021-2027 within the framework of Program Priority 3 “Integrated development of the cross-border region” begins. The budget of the measure is almost BGN 16 million.

The funds will be invested in projects to develop an attractive all-season tourism product by improving mobility, connectivity and alternative mobility in border regions, branding and marketing tourism products, expanding employment in the tourism sector, strengthening links between cultural and natural sites and tourism and environment, and reducing the vulnerability of services in the tourism sector.
