Shubman Gill faces the same question that KL Rahul faced earlier

Lucknow: After losing the first Twenty20 in Ranchi by 21 runs, the second match in Lucknow is crucial for Team India. Indian skipper Hardik Pandya has two major issues to address before heading to Lucknow for a life-or-death three-T20I series. The question before Hardik is whether to continue to trust opener Shubman Gill and pacer Arshdeep Singh in T20Is.
Shubman Gill faces the same question that KL Rahul faced earlier. Even when playing in dream form in ODIs, Gill’s batting ability is not enough in children’s cricket. Instead, Prithvi Shah, who has been waiting for an opportunity, has been capitalizing on the powerplay ever since. With this, skipper Hardik Pandya and coach Rahul Dravid are confused as to who should be played in Lucknow. Earlier in the press conference ahead of the first T20, Pandya had stated that Shubman Gill will be the first priority. Gill’s strike rate is only 119.92 in Powerplay. Meanwhile, Prithvi Shah’s strike rate is 152.34.
Another concern is Arshdeep Singh, who creates headaches with noballs and bribery. The star who was known as the best death over bowler at the beginning of his career is now bowling without any control. After the last Twenty20 World Cup, the star’s economy rose to 11.10. Noballs are a big threat to Arsh. Arsh conceded 51 runs in four overs in the first Twenty20 against the Kiwis. He conceded 27 runs in the last over alone with one no ball and three sixes.
