The Curiosity is a key factor of creativity, and creativity the foundation of innovation. A parodic – imitative – science is Pataphysics, invented by Alfred Jarryin his work “Deeds and opinionsone of doctor Faustroll”, in the second half of the 20th century.
It was born as a cultural movement in France linked to surrealism that, according to its mentalizers, is dedicated “to the study of solutions imaginary andeyes that regulate exceptions”. From the etymological point of view, Pataphysics is the result of a contraction of Greek origin that means “alaround” o “further beyond the fphysics”.
The topic is interesting from a philosophical and scientific point of view, because it tries to recoverthe principless islectics ofshown by los greeksand especially by Aristotle and Heraclitus, of notable influence on contemporary science. The principles of contradiction are highlighted y dand cause and effectbecause they invite us to reflect on the nature of changes in the areas of observable phenomena, and the foundation of the methodfrom pricestific. We do not forget the contributions of dialectics in theories of knowledge -Epistemologies- in all sciences, and not only in hard sciences -natural-, but also in the commingle -human and social-.
Pataphysics proposes the unity of oppositeswhile the ancients said that “Harmony is born from opposition”: alpha and omega, beginning and end, cause and effect, black and white, ying and yang, positive and negative, good and evil, one and zero… Historical and dialectical materialism was nourished by these categories.
But Pataphysics goes further: it suggests the existence of a complementary universe or exceptions, in which everything is abnormality. In other words: “eIn the universe of Alfred Jarry The rule is the exception of the exception. The rule is the extraordinary, and that explains and justifies the existence of the abnormality.” For this – says its author – it is urgent to develop Pataphysics as “the science of imaginary solutions”.
