The closure is expected to last around two hours, on the last day of the Penha Festival celebrations.
Anyone passing through Terceira Ponte, this Monday (08), should be aware, as there will be a partial closure of Terceira Ponte, in the direction of Vitória-Vila Velha, from 7am to 9am. The 1st Vitória Cyclists’ Pilgrimage will take place at this time, which should bring together around 1,500 participants in honor of the patron saint of Espírito Santo, Nossa Senhora da Penha. During this period, the right lane will be closed.
To carry out the pilgrimage route, on Terceira Ponte, the trail will be properly signposted to guarantee the safety of the pilgrims. In addition, the Espírito Santo State Public Passenger Transport Company (Ceturb-ES) will provide support teams, with a tow truck, ambulance and track inspectors, to provide support in any eventuality during the pilgrimage. The section of the bridge will be monitored through the video monitoring center.
Ceturb-ES will also make available a Bike GV bus, which will accompany the route, of around 15 kilometers – between Jardim Camburi, in Vitória and Prainha, in Vila Velha –, if there is a need to transport bicycles damaged and their owners. To return to Vitória, cyclists must use Ciclovia da Vida, but it is worth remembering that the Bike GV service will also be operating, in addition to the Aquaviário ferries, which have space for bicycles.
