Third dose of Kovid vaccine in Oman; Supreme Committee with important decisions

Muscat: The Oman Supreme Committee announces important decisions in the context of the new variant of Kovid, Omikron. Decisions have been announced in the country, including the administration of a third dose of Kovid Wax.

The third dose of the vaccine is given to people 18 years of age and older. The Ministry of Health will soon announce the target groups and plans for vaccination.

The Supreme Committee has recommended that the maximum capacity of events, including sports, exhibitions and wedding parties, be limited to 50 per cent. Participants in the event must maintain a compulsory physical distance and wear a proper mask.

The government will take steps to monitor the admission of non-vaccinated persons in public sector institutions. Meanwhile, the Oman News Agency reported that the Supreme Committee has issued new decisions in view of the new variant of Kovid, Omikron.
