Third Israeli record for Gromi at the Israeli Championships

by time news

Gal Cohen Gromi does not stop. The 19-year-old swimmer set a third Israeli record tonight (Friday) at the Israeli Swimming Championships in short pools and if a few days ago he did not have a single personal Israeli record – now he is already taking over the Israeli record table. This time, he did so in the 200-meter freestyle, setting a time of 1: 43.45, an improvement of five hundredths to Tomer Frenkel’s record.

Starring on the female side is Daria Golovti, who won the gold medals in 50 butterfly and 200 freestyle. In the butterfly, she did so while double breaking the 16-17 age records, which she finally set at 27.00 seconds, fast even from the record that belonged to Amit Ivri from 2006. In the 200 freestyle she set a personal record of 1: 57.60 minutes and approached the age record that belonged to Anastasia Gurbanko (1: 57.03 minutes).

Marcus Schlesinger continued his sprint control and won third gold in the 50-meter butterfly competition with 23.16 seconds. In the same ointment, the young Daniel Darbatzov set a 15-year-old record with 24.69 seconds. In the 400 individual medals, the Israel Champions won the title of Keren Eisbruch with 4: 49.82 minutes and Shmuel Weisburg with 4: 17.12 minutes. In the 100 breaststroke, Neta Ussishkin won with 1: 08.94 minutes and Jonathan Rom with 1: 00.40, while Daniel Yossifov broke another 17-year-old record with 1: 00.26. In the Shlichim mixed mix, Maccabi Haifa’s quartet won, after a close battle with Hapoel Dolphin Netanya.
