Kozhikode | In Vadakara, the panchayat called an all-party meeting in the case of an eighth class student being drugged and used as a carrier. AEO, school authorities, police officials etc will attend the meeting. The child’s parents had alleged that the police did not intervene despite complaining that they were trapped by the drug mafia. The accused was taken into police custody but later released.
Meanwhile, the police have decided to re-record the girl’s statement. Based on the statement of the girl, the move is to impose more sections. At present only the POCSO department has charged against the accused.
Thirteen-year-old girl was drugged by an acquaintance. The shocking information came out when the family, who were suspicious of the child’s behavior, conducted counselling. It was clear that the girl was using deadly drugs including MDMA.
