Thiruvananthapuram: A cycle journey from Kerala to London in 450 days after traveling 30,000 km through 35 countries!. Yes, Faiz Ashraf Ali (34), a native of Kozhikode’s Thalakulathur, has a dream trip today in Thiruvananthapuram, Education Minister V. Flagged off by Sivankutty.
Traveling around the country on a bicycle is not a new thing for Faiz. This planet revolves around his resignation from the Wipro company. The first trip was from Kozhikode to Singapore in 2019. He reached Singapore by traveling 8,000 km in 104 days via Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand and Malaysia.
The London trip is part of India’s 75th Independence Day anniversary celebration ‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsavi’ with a message of love for the countries of the world to work in mutual love with the slogan ‘From Heart to Heart’. It is organized under the leadership of Team Echo Wheelers with the support of Rotary International.
Faiz travels on American company’s Sarladisk Trucker Cycle. The cycle was sponsored by the UAE-based travel and luggage accessories company.
Pakistan and China are not eligible for visa, so these countries are avoided. Travel from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai by bicycle and reach Oman by air. From there cycle to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Georgia, Turkey,
From there, Faiz will cross two continents through Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and reach London.
