The story of the villa Kasselguen, at the tip of Penchâteau, located at the western end of the bay of La Baule in Pouliguen, in Loire-Atlantique (44), is worthy of a film script. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Ackermann family bought land facing the sea. Villa Kasselguen, formerly called Villa Goadik, was not built until the end of the 19th century. The villa of more than 500 m² was then sold to the Rouard family who sold it in 1936 to an associate of the Marcel Dassault company. This associate donated it to the daughter of his companion, Miss Maurel. The latter only goes to the villa to enjoy the belvedere on sunny days. “There were no substantial development works when she occupied the property.explains Serge Le Berre, associate director of Barnes La Baule, an agency specializing in high-end residential real estate.
One to two villas sold per year
In 2010, new owners bought the villa Goadik and renamed it Kasselguen, thus marking a new page in the history of the place. They restore it and give it back its cachet of yesteryear. It now offers 6 suites and a top floor dedicated to children, the attic having been converted into dormitories. Its vast reception rooms offer a panoramic view of the bay. In summer you can dine on the large stone terrace facing the bay. A heated swimming pool and direct access to the beach only add assets to this villa. It is now looking for a buyer for 9 million euros.
