On Twitter, some followers noticed that the film Spider-Man : Across the Spiderverse would have, at least, two different versions screened in American cinemas. While the main plot and most of the shots are the same, there would be some slight variations in some scenes.
On Twitter, a user points, with supporting images, to two versions of the same scene from Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse: while Lyla makes fun of Miguel, in one of the projected scenes, she points to him, in another, she takes a selfie. You can check for yourself below.
And to those who would cry fake, know that Andy Leviton, one of the editors who worked on the film confirmed the existence of slight variations in the copies of the film: “I was wondering when people were going to notice…” he wrote, retweeting the message of a user who pointed to the existence of these different versions.
Several scenes involved
Following this message, fans of Spider-Man : Across the Spiderverse ignited and noticed other differences between the different screenings of the film, in the dialogues or in character reactions.
For example, in one of the versions shown in certain cinemas, we do not see the scene where Miguel is about to bite the Vulture before being interrupted by the helicopter. In the scene where Pavir gets angry when Miles talks about “chai tea”, our hero responds, depending on the version, either “no no!” or “sorry!” Some lines of Ben Reilly (during the chase with Miles) or the Spot also vary slightly depending on the version.
If they do not profoundly change the film or the plot, these slight details (and there would be others) further increase the interest of the fans for this film, already praised for its visual inventiveness and the depth of its scenario. .
