This bobber looks amazing, it’s cheap… and it comes from China

by time news

Chinese copies keep pouring in. If a few years ago we saw them arrive timidly and with the most simplistic formulas and single-cylinder enginesnow they dare with exact copies of the same engine that they share until the same race… Whoever says that they share the same engine says brand name and even design.

One of the latest that attracts the most attention is the Zero LHF450. And no, we are not talking about the Californian brand of electric motorcycles and a certain international reputation that we have even tested in Todocircuito. We are talking about a brand that has shot the name… But that has nothing to do with electrics or Zero’s style.

In this case, it is a bobber that he presented to debut at Moexpo in Chongqing. It is their first production model on the Chinese market and seems to have taken certain licenses (and not exactly legal) of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber.

Chinese copies are no longer just sporty or state-of-the-art naked. Also motorcycles of the custom and neo-retro segment. No matter where you look at it, this motorcycle has many elements taken from the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, the design in general is already reminiscent of the shapes of the Hickley motorcycle.

He round LED headlight is one of the great attractionsair-suspended seat, hidden rear shock, even down to the fuel tank seems to take the same shape.

If we jump to the engine section, we already find a different panorama. The Chinese limitations are evident and this bike comes with a 450cc parallel twin engine that is a far cry from the original Triumph and its 80bhp 1200cc. In addition to cubic 450 cc has a stroke diameter of 66 x 66 mmmakes 37 hp and has a six-speed manual gearbox with chain final drive.

In the cycle part naturally nothing to do with the original bike. Standard telescopic forks at the front and hidden monoshock at the rear housed under the seat. Cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tires don’t end up looking bad, and even LED headlight and LCD screen add a modern touch.

And of course we no longer talk about the price, which is not even close to the 16,000 euros that the original motorcycle costs. In this case, the Chinese motorcycle can be purchased for a modest price of 26,920 yuan, which in exchange is about 3,900 dollars or 3,500 euros approximately. And of course… It is neither there nor expected in Europe, unless Triumph is tickled and a possible lawsuit for plagiarizing the design. Here we leave you with some more photos:
