Kepulauan Riau Candidate Aims to Make Province a Northern Gem

The prospective candidate for the governor of Riau Islands, Nyanyang Haris Pratamura, and his running mate, Ansar Ahmad, have a bold vision: to make the province the “jewel of the northern tip of Indonesia.”
To achieve this, the pair plans to:
Develop Riau’s maritime potential: This includes utilizing the National Long-Term Development Plan and the 2025 Regional Long-Term Development Plan to improve infrastructure across the islands.
Focus on Batam, Tanjung Pinang, Karimun Island, and Bintan Island: This includes developing a ring road and enhancing the area surrounding Batam International Airport.
* Invest in healthcare: A new hospital will be built, and the quality of education will be improved.
The Ansar Ahmad-Nyanyang Haris Pratamura (Ayang) couple believe that by harnessing the power of the sea and investing in their people, the Riau Islands can truly flourish.
