The Indian Railways is the largest employee-run company in the world. It is also the largest railway network in Asia and the second largest railway network in the world under one management. In the 1850s, the then British government laid the road from Bombay to Thane.

That state is Mizoram state in Northeast India.
There are total 11 districts in Mizoram state. It has a population of around 10 lakhs. But Bairabi is the only railway station in the entire state. Anyone who wants to travel by train in this state has to leave for Bairabi. Think about it.. What if Chennai Central is the only railway station in Tamilnadu? Idle Central Station is crowded. If it comes in total, the breath will stop.
But that is what is happening in Mizoram. Train passengers from Mizoram to other states have to wait at this railway station and catch the train. Can’t even imagine what the situation would be if we didn’t make a reservation! Being the only railway station in the state, don’t be mistaken that it has all the modern amenities.
There are no proper facilities at Bhairabi railway station. There are only 3 platforms in this railway station. There are four railway lines for trains to and from. That too has been brought in the year 2016. Before that it was a very small railway station. It has progressed to this extent only because of renovation work in 2016.
Indian Railways has recently suggested to build another railway station in Mizoram as there is only one railway station for all these people. Indian Railways also said that an action plan has been implemented to connect the Bhairabhi railway station with the rest of the country.Following the recommendation of the Railways, the work on the Bhairabi-Sairang rail line project has started at a distance of 51.38 km.
