Memorial (2021) – This new dramatic work captivates you with its unbelievable performance Tilda Swindon. She interprets the woman who searches for the center of her life through the strange sounds she hears and tries to get used to the intensity of “civilized” Europe. Commemoration – First TV broadcast – tonight – Tuesday 28 October – under ERT3 at 00:00. Seriously, we wish that such old cinematic stories – which bet the aesthetic vision of the audience – would be screened earlier. And lest we be misunderstood, the Memorial is not a work of Hollywood terms. It’s a difficult film to either love or become indifferent to.

Jessica lives in Scotland and works as a florist. When she visits her sick sister in Bocota (Colombia) she begins to hear strange sounds even while she sleeps. The constant repetition of these sounds leads her to search for their origin.

As Jessica tries to understand the sound she meets various people, including Hernán, an archaeologist (played by Elkin Diaz), and together they explore human memory, time and the nature of reality. The film connects the supernatural with everyday life and explores the deeper connections between sound, memory and identity.
