Sheikh Hasina resigned in the face of mass protests and left the country. After the fall of the government on August 5, people across the country burst into excitement. In this, there are reports of vandalism of government buildings, arson in Awami League party office and communal attacks! Model-actress Rafiyath Rasheed Mithila is worried about this.

Mithila gave multiple statuses on social media Facebook. In one of the posts, the actress urged everyone to take the responsibility of protecting the country’s resources and wrote, ‘This freedom belongs to the people of Bangladesh. From this moment we all have the responsibility to protect the wealth of the country and the people of the country. Because these are ours. These are the Bangladesh of our lives.’

Not forgetting the sacrifice of the students, Mithila wrote on Facebook, ‘Freedom means responsibility. Committed to building a new democratic state. Building a country of justice and equality. Let’s not forget the sacrifice of our children, students.’

Calling for an end to violence, Mithila wrote, ‘We have to protect all religious places of worship, state property. We do not want destruction, violence in exchange for the movement and blood so far.’

Demanding that those who are committing violence be brought to justice, Mithila wrote in a post, “Don’t forget the name of this movement of students is ‘anti-discrimination’ student movement. A movement to create a democratic and egalitarian state system by removing all discrimination. Today, the destruction in the name of victory seems to be too late for this movement to end. Those who are destroying the property and industry of the citizens, those who are doing violence to people (be it people of any religion, caste, profession), let them be brought to justice, let the movement against them continue.”
