The Beatrix hospital in Gorinchem rewrites all its patient information in clear language. The current information material appears to be well understood by only four out of ten people. The breast clinic – where about seven hundred women come every year because they may have breast cancer – has already done it. “Good, understandable information is crucial when making difficult choices when you are diagnosed with breast cancer.”
