Specifically, the events have occurred in Oaxaca, where the health authorities have already begun the search for products indicated to avoid risks to Mexican citizens.

Specifically, batch number 156036 of Buscopan 10 mg/250 mg was identified as fake, in addition to batches BMXA001 and BMXA002. As for Buscapin, it was identified that it had already expired due to the expiration date, indicated as December 2022.

In addition, Cofepris alerted about Neo-Melubrina

On the other hand, for Neo-Melubrina it was found that batch B264718 has an expiration date of December 2023 and the packaging is false because the medicine was not manufactured by the Sanofi Avetis laboratory in Mexico.

That is why Cofepris urges people to avoid acquiring any of the two drugs and if they have already done so, they must report adverse reactions by email. [email protected]

Although, in addition to these two medications, Cofepris has also issued an alert due to the illegal sale of products that pose as medications such as Rosel solution and Desenfriol-ito plus.

The agency called on the population not to consume these medications, since they are counterfeits that pose health risks to pediatric patients.

Cofepris, specifically, detected the falsification of the Rosel product (amantadine, chlorphenamine, paracetamol) in a 60-milliliter solution presentation, with batch 200413 and an expiration date of December 2024, as a result of the analysis carried out by the unit with the information presented. by the company Wermar Pharmaceuticals.

Said company reported that this medicine was stopped manufacturing from April 2021, due to the fact that the firm carried out an update of the procedure before Cofepris.

For its part, Cofepris recommended that the population not purchase Rosel children’s solution with the aforementioned name and any other, since its manufacture is suspended. In addition, he requested the support of health professionals not to prescribe this medication.
