The traditional company Tupperware has filed for bankruptcy. Many customers regret the decline of the brand, but others criticize the company.
Many t-online readers are customers of the wide range of products on offer – and have been for decades. Some even took part in the famous Tupperware parties. Some of them regret the insolvency of the company they knew so well, others do not mourn it.
Wilhelm Mops writes: “I bought products from this company 50 years ago. Admittedly, they are a bit expensive, but they last an infinite amount of time. I am still happy with these items today.”
Horst Nowatschek has nothing left for Tupperware: “The products are far too expensive. The discounters haven’t been sleeping in all these years. That’s why I haven’t bought anything from this greedy company for about five years.”
“We have been using Tupperware for over 40 years,” says Dietlinde Jungmann. “We still have a lot of these dishes in the cupboard and are very happy with them. We very much regret the decline.”
Veronika Schiller emails: “I always used Tupperware, even though the price is quite high, but I was always convinced by the quality of the product range. But now I think that Tupperware has become outdated and simply no longer fits in with today’s times.”
“It is very unfortunate that Tupperware has to give up,” says Rosemarie Rally“However, the quality has declined in recent years and the prices have become more expensive. Even modified shapes have not always been successful. I have a lot of Tupperware in my household and I wouldn’t want to be without it.”
Beate Pfeiffer tells us: “I practically grew up with Tupperware and the parties. I went to some myself and even organized them. It was a lot of fun for me and the others too.”
The 61-year-old also criticizes that the items were overpriced then and now. “It’s a real shame that Tupperware hasn’t adjusted its prices. Over the years, many competitors have appeared on the scene. The biggest, Lock & Lock, also has great products that are also expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as Tupperware.”
“Although I’m already stocked up on Tupperware, I still regret the company’s demise,” says Birgit Pössinger“The products are simply good. I’m just thinking of the shaker for mixing flour, the reliably leak-proof, round bowls and the salad spinner that I’ve had for ages. And the Tupperware evenings with good company were always a social highlight.”
