That costs energy and harms the CO₂ balance. The Berlin consumer center draws attention to this in a current press release. “Refraining from streaming for these reasons is unrealistic. However, anyone who uses these services should know how energy-hungry everyday digital processes are, “said Siri Lena Tholander, project coordinator for energy advice at the Berlin consumer center.
