National coach Nagelsmann will have to do without the injured striker Füllkrug against the Dutch team. Before the match, he explained the reasons behind it.
The German national football team will have to play against the Netherlands this evening (from 8.45 p.m. in the t-online live ticker) without central striker Niclas Füllkrug. The Hanover native is out due to Achilles tendon irritation and has already left the DFB team hotel in Amsterdam.
Deniz Undav from VfB Stuttgart will be in the starting eleven for the West Ham United professional. Before the match, national coach Julian Nagelsmann explained his decision in an interview with RTL. “Of course he is a slightly different type of player, but one who is very good with his back to goal, who can use Kai (Havertz, editor’s note) in depth, who can harmonize very well with Jamal (Musiala) and Flo (Wirtz),” explained Nagelsmann.
In Saturday’s 5-0 win against Hungary, Nagelsmann took Füllkrug off the field in the 60th minute due to the injury. “It’s nothing serious because we reacted early and substituted him.
