“This is How Stav Shapir Plans to Utilize the Money and Feels Satisfied with It”

by time news

The court ruled in favor of Stav Shapir in her defamation lawsuit against Yair Netanyahu, ordering him to pay her NIS 70,000 in compensation. Shapir announced on Facebook that she plans to use the money to fight against violence and incitement towards women. In addition to the compensation, Yair Netanyahu was ordered to pay NIS 20,000 in expenses and his counterclaim was rejected. The lawsuit stemmed from a response Yair Netanyahu made to Shapir on social media. During the court hearings, tensions ran high, with Yair Netanyahu making inappropriate comments and insults towards Shapir, resulting in him being asked to leave the courtroom at one point.

The court ruled this morning that Yair Netanyahu is obligated to pay Stav Shapir NIS 70,000, as part of the defamation lawsuit she filed against him. Now Shapir reveals what she will do with the money.

“Good news,” Shapir wrote on her Facebook page. “Yair Netanyahu lost to me in the libel suit and will be required to pay NIS 70,000 for his bullying and lies. The days when no one put a limit to his and his family’s violence are over.”

Shapir shared that “I will invest the money in the fight against incitement and violence against women, and we will make sure that people like him do not succeed in discouraging anyone from fighting for their positions.”

Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, lost a libel suit filed against him by former Knesset member Stav Shapir.

According to the report of “Globes” reporter Avishai Greenzeig, Yair Netanyahu was ordered to compensate Stav Shapir with NIS 40,000 + NIS 20,000 in expenses. In addition, his counterclaim was rejected, and he was ordered to pay an additional NIS 10,000 in costs.

As I recall, Shapir’s lawsuit followed a response from Yair Netanyahu in which he wrote to Shapir: “Are you sure you want to talk about morality, in light of the failed project you tried to set up with a pedophile lover and regular visitor to Epstein’s pedophile island? Ugly inside and out. You’ll find a permanent Arab husband who won’t throw away You. Go to some village, convert to Islam and leave us alone.”

Shapir claimed that Netanyahu “used sexual violence as a strategy”. He responded: “What nonsense, you had an Arab friend. What do you want?”. Shapir replied: “That’s a complete lie, there is nothing wrong with an Arab partner, and if I had one I would say so.”

During one of the hearings, which was held about four months ago, attorney Yaniv Lankri, who represents Netanyahu, told Shapir: “I’m telling you that you invited the prime minister’s son to a fight, and you are actually the one shooting arrows in a personal way. Do you expect from the prosecutor that the morning news hears slander about his father and mother, that he will not respond?”

Shapir attacked in response: “The Prime Minister released to the media a photo of him celebrating the Seder night together with his family members in order to draw attention. I saw it as a great insult and responded. I was talking about the violation of the Corona regulations, are you saying that someone is inviting a verbal sexual attack?”.

Yair Netanyahu on the High Court ruling: “They are their own authority”

During the hearing, Yair Netanyahu called out to Stav Shapir: “You are married to a billionaire”, and the judge asked him not to make any comments. After that, Yair Netanyahu spoke about the publication according to which there is a debt of the party led by Shapir to the state treasury, and said: “Where is the eight million shekels?”

Judge Aviim Barkai made it clear to the young Netanyahu that with his next comment he would be removed from the hearing, and after Netanyahu called Shafir to “return the millions”, Barkai ordered him to leave the hearing. On his way out, Yair Netanyahu hissed at Stav Shapir “bitch”. After some time, the judge allowed Netanyahu to return to the courtroom.
