This August 22 marked the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) Founded in 1924 when President Álvaro Obregón created it in a decree
Its first location was in the University District of the Historic Center, in 1938 it moved to the Mascarones Building and finally within the first circuit of University City in 1954 where it is located today.

To celebrate such an important date, the highest house of studies prepared an entire week called “The space of humanities” with activities that include conferences, lectures, master conferences, film clubs, talks and discussion panels on topics focused on the humanities.
The next August 23 The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters includes:
1.- Keynote lecture led by the Spanish linguist Javier Muñoz-Basols at 10:00 a.m.
2.- Roundtable on education at 11:00 am, in which will participate: Javier Muñoz-Basols, Agustín Vivas-Moreno, Adriana Puiggros, Gabriela de la Cruz Flores, Ricardo Horneffer Mengdehl, Marcela Gómez Sollano, Teresa Miaja de la Peña.

3.- At 12:00 hours as part of the #CineclubFilos the film will be screened The Goodbyes and the final comments will be made by the actress Carina Giddy.
4.- The dialogue table “Our teachers. 100 years of teaching at the FFyL” will take place at 2:00 p.m.
5.- From 5:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. keynote lectures with Augustin Vivas, Islam Issa, Anne Bogart.
For Friday August 24, The activities contemplated are:
1.- At 10:00 and 11:00 hours there will be keynote lectures with Yasnaya Aguilar e Ines Dussel respectively.

2.- Conversations with students at 12:00 noon in the Rosario Castellanos Garden.
