Christian Salguero He is one of the 16 academics who continues to participate in The Academy 2024being the only one Guatemalan and Central American candidateHer participation was announced last Sunday, July 21, along with 19 other contestants who are seeking the dream of obtaining first place and winning one million pesos.
During the first two concerts, the Guatemalan has been among the four academics with the least votes from the public, having the opportunity to continue his dream thanks to being one of the two participants saved by the Fifth Judge in the second concert. From local stages to a reality show in Mexico
Cristian Salguero began singing at a young age, together with his brothers, with whom he formed a musical group. He performed with them on different stages, but after personal reasons prevented his family from continuing, Cristian continued his path as a soloist, performing on stages in Jutiapa, his place of origin, and also in Guatemala City.
This year, Cristian attended one of the castings in Guatemala and was one of those selected to participate in the Grand Final Casting along with five other Guatemalans. On July 21, he was revealed as the representative of Guatemala in the Mexican reality show and since then he has performed on stage twice.
At the first concert, Cristian performed the song I already know that you are leaving in a duet with Jessi González, where she did not receive very good reviews from the judges. However, she had a better moment during the second concert, where she sang Tell him by David Bisbal alongside Eduardo Meza. On this last occasion, the reviews were more favourable, with a comment from Lola Cortés stating: “This is La Academia, congratulations.”
