Emergency is a film in which Kangana Ranaut plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The promotional materials that were released earlier of the film also got the attention of the audience. Kangana’s makeover in the film looks very similar to Indira Gandhi. Now the makers have released a video of Kangana’s character on Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary. A 15-second video containing the character’s dialogue has been released.
Besides portraying the central character Indira Gandhi, the film is written, directed and produced by Kangana. As the name suggests, this is a film set against the backdrop of emergency. Kangana’s story is written by Ritesh Shah. Produced by Kangana and Renu Pitti under Manikarnika Films banner. This is Kangana’s second directorial venture. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, released in 2019, was the first film directed by Kangana herself in the title role. But it was directed by Kangana with Krish Jagarlamudi.

Tanvi Kesari Pasumarthi is preparing the additional dialogues of Emergency. Associate Producer Akshat Ranaut, Executive Producer Sameer Khurana, Cinematography Tetsuo Nagata, Editing Rameshwar S Bhagat, Production Designer Rakesh Yadav, Costume Design Sheetal Sharma, Prosthetic Designer David Malinowski, Music GV Prakash Kumar. The film will hit the theaters in 2023. According to the film world, this is going to be a remarkable character in Kangana’s career.
