This is the biggest problem for Rohit Sharma, that’s why he can’t score a century – ex-player talks!

Sanjay Manjrekar has opined that this is the main reason why runs are not coming from Rohit Sharma.

Rohit Sharma, who has been under fire for his poor form in international cricket, had a good ODI series against Sri Lanka. But he could not capitalize on the start he got and convert it into three-digit runs.

He scored 83 runs off 67 balls in the first match. He got off to a good start by scoring 42 runs in the third ODI.

Rohit Sharma did not make the most of this opening. Rohit Sharma is usually the man to turn a good start into a big score. But lately he has failed to do so. Former Indian player and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has mentioned that this is his biggest problem. He said:

“When you see Rohit Sharma playing, you can never say he is out of form. Runs are coming well off his bat. Looks like it’s in good shape too. But he is struggling to convert his start into a big score. Usually if he gets a good start he can turn it into 150, 200 runs without scoring 100 runs.

Likewise, if he stays on the field for 10-15 overs, he is a talented player who can stand and play more than 40 overs. Although it has had a good start recently, it has not changed much and needs to be fixed. Will be of great help to the team. That also gives a team a huge boost when someone who is an opener scores big and being the captain also gives the other players an extra responsibility.” Sanjay Manjurokar has mentioned.
