The nearest automobile future is inevitably electric and Spain is part of it. Most manufacturers already have a large percentage of battery-powered models in their portfolio, whether they are plug-in or purely electric. In the case of Skoda, they will launch a total of six BEV models in 2026, in order to become a particularly diverse brand, which will offer the right vehicle for each customer. But the one that will really interest us above all in our country, especially at a production level, will be the future model that will be manufactured in Spain.
Specifically, and as a future access model that will carry the provisional title of ‘Small’, it will be a compact SUV with a price of around 25,000 euros, which will make electric mobility affordable. The model will be manufactured at a Volkswagen Group plant in Spain and will be presented in 2025. With about 4.10 meters in lengthwill offer a trunk capacity similar to that of the Scala.
In 2024, the first BEV vehicle will be the ‘Compact’, which officially will be called Elroq. At around 4.50 meters in length and a similar combination of compact dimensions and a spacious and highly practical interior, the Elroq will be the all-electric successor to the Skoda Karoq.
In 2025, the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé will receive a comprehensive update and adopt the new ‘Modern Solid’ design language first introduced on the Vision 7S. The Enyaq iV models were the first Škoda vehicles based on the Volkswagen Group’s modular electric drive (MEB) platform and, as such, have been emblematic of the brand’s new era of electric mobility since 2020 (Enyaq Coupé since 2022).
The ‘Combi’ will play a key role among the four new models. This approximately 4.70 meter long model will be the brand’s first all-electric family car, bringing the strengths of this popular and successful Škoda body style into the electric age. The ‘Combi’ BEV estate will be introduced in 2026.
The largest of Skoda’s future BEVs will be the ‘Space’, the production version of the Vision 7S prototype. It will have about 4.90 meters in length and will complete the high range.
