jpnn.comJAKARTA – Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Pramono Anung or Pram admitted that he wanted to present cheerful politics, so he appointed comedian Lies Hartono or Cak Lontong as the head of the winning team for the regional elections for the province with the Monas icon.
“As I said, his politics are cheerful and embracing politics,” said Pram in response to media crew in Central Jakarta, Friday (6/9).
He admitted that he did not want the aura of political contestation in Jakarta to be like the previous regional elections which gave rise to divisions, so he appointed Cak Lontong as the head of the winning team.
“Experience has made us realize that Jakarta, which is already good, will be even better if there is no conflict, no tension that can cause division or whatever,” said Pram.
He then received questions from the media crew about the possibility that the name Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok would be included in the Pramono-Rano Karno winning team.
Pram admitted that he had spoken with Ahok, but the former Governor of Jakarta had been assigned by the party to win PDI Perjuangan candidates throughout Indonesia.
However, the former Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan said that Ahok would help Pramono-Rano win the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“He will certainly help, but for the winning team this time, yes, he does not need to be in the team, but he will help,” he said.
