jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Central Executive Board of the National Mandate Party (PAN) has officially given its support to the Lalu Muhamad Iqbal-Indah Putri Damayanti (Iqbal-Dinda) pair to run in the 2024 West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) gubernatorial election.
This recommendation was submitted directly by PAN General Chair Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas, Monday (15/7).
Also present at the handover were the chairman of the NTB PAN DPW Muazzim Akbar, the Secretary General of PAN Mohammad Eddy Dwiyanto Soeparno, and the Head of the PAN DPP Pilkada Desk Team Yandri Susanto.
In addition, Lalu Iqbal was seen accompanied by the prospective candidate for Deputy Governor of NTB, Indah Damayanti Putri, who was wearing blue batik with a white motif depicting the PAN flag.
“We have decided through in-depth study that Iqbal and Ibu Dinda are the candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of NTB,” said Zulkifli Hasan.
The man who is familiarly called Zulhas revealed his reasons for supporting the pair of former Turkish Ambassador and Bima Regent for two terms.
“Because we decided through a thorough study, starting from their backgrounds, their backgrounds. We have also known each other for a long time, so it’s not new,” he said.
According to Zulkifli Hasan, Lalu Iqbal is a figure who has a multitude of achievements.
