Even before the first episode of the 9-episode series (which will be aired until March), the Russian information security giant Kaspersky warned that crooks have already started spreading evil under the guise of downloading the game to a computer – which should be automatically suspicious, since this series is exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation, and is not available to any other device. However, the company also found fake versions of the game for Sony’s console, although fewer people are likely to fall for this scheme.

In addition, it seems that for everyone who watched the series on the legal channels, there is at least one who watched it by less legal means: according to the website I know What You Download, the series immediately became the most popular pirated download in the world upon its release. It is also very popular in Israel: on Monday-Tuesday it was the most popular series in pirated downloads, and on Monday all 11 of the most popular files in pirated downloads in Israel were different versions of the opening episode. On Tuesday it dropped to 6 out of the top 10, and from Wednesday to Friday the series ranked second with the two most popular downloads being different versions of the first episode. In total, thousands of Israelis downloaded this episode – and worldwide the numbers are much higher.
