It’s been a few years since Anouschka Renzi’s cosmetic surgeries first hit the press. The actress, who turns 60 on August 6, spoke very openly about her visits to the cosmetic surgeon. But what had motivated her to take this path in the first place, she kept to herself for a while.
Ten years ago, Anouschka Renzi gave intimate insights into her nose in an interview with the magazine “Stern”. The “Tatort” actress had her nose operated on after a serious stage accident at the age of 21. Part of the scenery had not been properly attached at the time and had hit the now 57-year-old in the face. “I didn’t like the nose anyway and then it was bent. Then it had to be operated on three times.” She also had “relatively large” scars on her face. The first operation on her nose was in the 1980s. Further operations followed.
But the accident was not the only reason, as Anouschka Renzi revealed at the time: “I didn’t do it to look younger, but because I didn’t like the way I looked.” But she hadn’t even spoken about it with people close to her: “I didn’t even tell my husbands at the time. Instead of saying it right from the start, I kept a lot of things to myself that hurt me.”
Anouschka Renzi also found it difficult as a child and teenager to always be in the shadow of her famous mother. The Berliner is the daughter of the actress Eva Renzi, who died in 2005, and Paul Hubschmid, who worked in the same business. The latter died four years before his ex-wife. “And with my hump nose and thin lip – people always said: ‘She’s so special.’ And you want to be cute, common, pretty,” Renzi explained in an interview at the time.
