jpnn.com – MOJOKERTO – For community leaders who are called to run as candidates for mayor of Mojokerto in the 2024 regional elections, they need to prepare themselves well in advance.
The reason is, to advance through the independent route, a minimum of support from 10,463 people is needed.
This figure represents 10 percent of the total permanent voter list (DPT) for Mojokerto City in the 2024 elections, namely 104,629 voters.
According to Mojokerto City KPU Commissioner Tri Widya Kartikasari, every pair of candidates who will be involved in the fight through independent channels must have public support.
“In accordance with the decision of the Mojokerto City KPU Number 124 of 2024, the minimum requirements for support that must be met by individual candidate pairs for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Mojokerto are 10,463 supports and spread across at least two sub-districts. This figure is 10 percent of the total DPT for Mojokerto City in the 2024 election namely 104,629 voters,” said Tri in his statement in Mojokerto City, Tuesday (30/4).
He said that the Mojokerto City KPU would immediately open registration for regional head candidates for the 2024 Mojokerto City Pilkada.
Registration is not only for candidates through political party channels, but also through independent channels.
Registration of candidates for independent support will take place from early May to mid-August 2024.
“In accordance with PKPU No. 2 of 2024 concerning Stages and Schedules for the Election of Governor and Deputy Governor, Regent and Deputy Regent and Mayor and Deputy Mayor, fulfilling the requirements for support for individual candidate pairs is open from May 5 to August 19,” he said.
In this process, the Mojokerto City KPU also opened the stage of revision and submission of revised support requirements documents by individual candidate pairs on July 1-7 2024.
“If the conditions for supporting an individual candidate pair are met, then you can carry out Candidate Registration which will open 27-29 August 2024 together with candidate pairs supported by a political party or a combination of political parties,” he said.
For independent candidate pairs, the Mojokerto City KPU also opens a helpdesk or consultation service for nominations in the Mojokerto City KPU Technical Organizing Room, Jalan Pahlawan No. 11, Kranggan District, Mojokerto City. (Antara/jpnn)
