Students of different universities of the country have started a movement to demand the abolition of quota system in government jobs. In the last few days, starting from the capital, the demands of this movement have spread to the district level as well. Various people have commented on this method on social media. This time, the brave freedom fighter and actor Sohel Rana posted the matter on the social handle.
Masud Parvez aka Sohail Rana expressed his opinion on the matter on Facebook on Monday (July 8) afternoon. He writes, ‘Why are the names of freedom fighters being mentioned repeatedly, the country has been independent for 53 years. If 12 more years are added to him then his age is 65. At this age, surely no one tries for a job or enrolls in a school or college. It is insulting to the freedom fighters that their children should get jobs and admissions in the quota system because of their fathers. By virtue of their merit, they will get admission, take the exam and interview for the job as well. We freedom fighters never asked for such an opportunity. It is just an attempt to show respect to his children by giving such an opportunity when there is no respect.’
‘What have you done for them without giving respect? Maya cried for them, they were not given any chance in anything from dress to treatment or movement. So we never asked for anything. It was necessary to make the country independent on the instructions of the father of the nation, we did that.
