In the face of the continued increase in the number of sick leave days taken by civil servants, the government of Edouard Philippe has decided not to pay 100% of the salaries of representatives from the first day of suspension but only from the second. The introduction of such a delay “allows us to fight against low-absence”, according to Gérald Darmanin, then Minister of Finance.
