The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (Aemps) has informed through a statement of the cessation of use and withdrawal from the market of the Optiben Dry Eyes ophthalmic solution 10ml with lot number R1033A.
It is an eye drop used to moisten and lubricate the eyes to relieve dry eyes and irritations caused by fatigue, environmental conditions or continued exposure to electronic devices.
The Aemps has detected that the container of the affected lot of the ophthalmic solution may contain a different product, the Methocelthe use of which poses a risk of causing an allergic reaction, as well as temporary blurred vision, redness, irritation or stinging.
In the case of having a container of this product with batch R1086A, it is imperative to stop using it and intrain the medical professional in case of adverse effects such as those mentioned above.
