Later, the three prospective naturalized players are scheduled to come to Indonesia on March 11 and then one day later take the Indonesian Citizen Oath.

“They are here to be able to come here, because if they take an oath to physically attend it is not easy or easy. They have planned to come on March 11 and be sworn in on March 12,” said PSSI I Deputy Chairperson Zainudin Amali while attending the DPR RI Commission X working meeting. at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Thursday.

It is known that March 12 is a national holiday because it coincides with the holy day of Nyepi, Saka New Year 1946.

In this case, PSSI has communicated with the relevant agencies to keep its offices open in order to realize the Indonesian citizen oath of the three potential naturalized players.

“We have communicated with the agencies, it is a holiday, but there is an understanding from the relevant agencies that they want to open their offices for this activity,” he said.

With the plan to take the oath, Amali hopes that the three players can immediately participate in strengthening the Indonesian national team in the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian zone against Vietnam twice on March 21 (home) and March 26 (away).

“Why suddenly, why do we need that, because on March 21 we have the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. We hope they can play, depending on whether Commission X approves it or not,” said Amali.
