Police Inspector Tirumalai, who was on security duty at the District Collector’s office during the Thoothukudi firing incident, has been suspended (removed from duty).
Thirumalai is currently the Commissioner of Social Justice and Human Rights of Nellai Municipal Corporation. Apart from Tirumala, 3 other policemen Sudalaikannu, Shankar and Satish have also been suspended.
