The names of the two people killed in the accident that occurred last night (Wednesday) on Azriel Hildesheimer Street in Jerusalem have been released – 78-year-old Martin Pepper from Jerusalem, and 19-year-old Adira Kofsky from New York. Pepper’s 75-year-old wife, who was driving the vehicle that overturned and hit Kofsky, was also injured in the accident.

A preliminary investigation of the accident reveals that Martin and his wife were driving a car on the way to their home near the accident site. At some point, she lost control, collided with a guardrail on the side of the road and led to the vehicle overturning. Martin’s death was determined on the spot after he was crushed by the car, while his wife was rescued from the overturned car and was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in the city in a serious condition.
