The OTT release of Suresh Gopi’s film Pappan, which is continuing to run with great success in the theatres, is hinted that there will be no OTT release soon. Zee Kerala has acquired the OTT and satellite rights of the film for a huge amount. The film will be streamed through Zee 5, Zee’s OTT platform. But movie sources suggest that we will have to wait for a long time to see the film in OTT.
They say that the reason for this is that films for which Sea5 buys OTT rights will be screened on OTT only after 60 days of theatrical release if they are huge hits at the theatres. A case in point is the movie Super Sharanya. In that case, Pappan, which is still receiving good response in theaters, will reach OTT at least by October.

Meanwhile, the film is performing well at the box office. The film collected 31.43 crores as a global gross from the first 10 days. This is also a film where Suresh Gopi will play the role of a policeman after a while. The name of the character is Abraham Mathew Mathan. This is a film where Joshi and Suresh Gopi reunite after a while. Many of the films released in this combination like Lelam, Patram, Vazhunnore were superhits. Gokul Suresh also plays an important role in the film. The film also has the distinction of being the first time both of them will come together. The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan, David Kachapilly and Rafi Mathira. Gokulam Movies and Dream Big Films are bringing the film to theaters. The crime thriller film also stars Neeta Pillai, Naila Usha, Asha Sarath, Kaniha, Chandunath, Vijayaraghavan, Tiny Tom, Shammi Thilakan and others.
