This year, prices have increased by 20-25 percent in recreation centers and hotels in Azerbaijan compared to last year.
Day.Az reports that Jeyhun Ashirov, an expert on tourism issues, told Trend.
He noted that now we are in the season with the greatest demand for recreation centers. “At the same time, due to the closure of the land borders, most people spend their vacations in Azerbaijan, and the demand is high because of this. Of course, this situation also causes the prices to increase,” he said.
The expert emphasized that the expenses per tourist in the world have increased. “There is an increase of about 50 percent. This is due to the increase in the prices of transport and cargo carriers, inflation, and the increase in food costs. There is also inflation in Azerbaijan, and this affects the prices of tourism parquets,” he added.
It should be noted that in a number of hotels, 4-person rooms, which were offered for 150-160 manats last year, are offered around 210-220 manats this year. Prices are expected to drop slightly towards the end of the season. The prices are a bit high because of the high demand at the moment, but towards the end of the season, the demand will be relatively low, which will allow the prices to come down.
