RIYADH: Provisions have been released for those who withdraw from the Hajj pilgrimage to get their money back. There will be two types of refund procedures for those who have paid for the Hajj permit and those who have not. The Ministry has detailed the methods of refund through a tweet from its official handle.

Due to death, disability, criminal cases or accidents, the full amount will be refunded on submission of necessary documents. This also applies to those who have been infected with Kovid after the 14th of the Arabic month of Shawwal. Hajj permit can be canceled through ‘Abshir’ application and booking can be canceled through Ministry’s website or Nusk application.

Methods of refund

1. Before issuing a permit to perform Hajj.

  • Those who withdraw their application during the period from the date of registration to 14th Shawwal will get full refund of the amount paid.
  • In case the permit cannot be issued, the fee for electronic services will be charged from the amount paid.

2. After issuing the Hajj permit.

  • Fees for electronic services from 15th Shawwal to the end of Dhul Qa’ad, minus 10 percent of the contract value, will be refunded.
  • If the period is from 1st of Dhul Hajj, the money paid will not be refunded.
