Beijing: China has eased the countrywide restrictions on Covid. China’s decision comes after months of protests. The new guidelines announced by the National Health Commission make it clear that the zero-covid policy in China is boring people’s lives and reducing the scope of testing. Some new guidelines:

*If the Covid is not serious and do not need the facilities of government hospitals, home quarantine can be used.

*You don’t need to show the green health code on your phone to enter places other than nursing homes, medical institutions, kindergartens and schools.

* According to the new guidelines, quarantine has been waived for people who have no or mild symptoms.

*PCR testing will continue in places like schools, hospitals, nursing homes etc. *Vaccination for the elderly will continue.

*People using public transport need not show a Covid negative certificate taken within 48 hours.
