Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered once again in Central London to protest the conflict between Israel and Hamas, DPA and PA Media reported.

Protesters started their march at 1:30pm local time from Piccadilly Circus Square, passed Hyde Park and ended their march on Kensington Road. They held placards reading “Starmer has blood on his hands” and “Stop the military coalition”.

The march was briefly stopped due to a clash with counter-protesters, and two men were eventually detained by the police, BTA reported.

London police have put a number of conditions on the event, including that the demonstration must end by 5pm local time. Police said another event that had been scheduled to take place along the route of the procession had been cancelled.

The demonstration comes as senior MI6 and CIA officials said they were “working round the clock” together for a ceasefire and a Gaza hostage deal and were “using our intelligence channels to push hard for restraint and de-escalation”. in the Middle East, says DPA.
