The Israel Land Authority and the Ministry of Construction and Housing announced that this morning (Sunday) the registration for the “Apartment at a Discount” lottery opened and will be open until Sunday, July 17 at midnight. The lottery has about 5,500 housing units in 25 localities throughout the country and the date of registration has no significance for the chances of winning. Those entitled to register are all the homeless with a valid certificate of eligibility.
A discounted apartment program continues with 30,000 housing units, at significant discounts for young and homeless couples, will be raffled off to eligible people in the coming year, as part of various affordable housing programs. By the end of the year, about 15,000 housing units will be raffled off in additional lotteries. As part of the upcoming lotteries, the latest RMI council decision on locals will be implemented for the first time, according to which in target price tenders 35% will be allocated to locals in the center of the country. In Priority Area B, the rate of housing units to be allocated to locals will increase to 40% of all dwellings, and in National Priority Area A, 50% percent of all marketing will remain.

The second lottery that opens today includes about 5,500 housing units in 25 localities around the country, including; Eilat, Ashdod, Elad, Beit Shemesh, Deir Hanna, Haifa, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Araba, Ramat Gan, Rosh HaAyin Sderot, Arad, Mitzpe Ramon, And Netanya.

In the first “discounted apartment” lottery held in April, 10,053 households won, and about 120,000 households were registered – the highest number of registrants ever. From the end of the registration for the first lottery until today, about 22,000 new eligible people have joined.
As was the case in the previous lottery, those eligible can register for three cities, and for all the lotteries in these cities, also because the date of registration for the lottery does not matter and registration will be open to the eligible public for 14 days. The lottery results are expected to be delivered to the winners in August.
The Minister of Construction and Housing, Zeev Elkin, greeted: “We continue with the lotteries as we promised and by the end of the year we will reach more than 30,000 and next year another 45,000 throughout the country, so I expect that by the end of next year about 75,000 eligible, more Half of those eligible will be eligible to purchase an apartment at significant discounts. In the lottery that opened for registration this morning, there will be about 5,500 housing units that will join the 10,000 households that have already won the previous exiles. We will continue to make every effort to balance the precision market and offer accessible and quality housing solutions to young couples. ”
