jpnn.comJAKARTA – Threads is testing a new feature that allows users to set an expiration time for their uploads.

Not only that, this feature can also make uploads and all replies automatically deleted after 24 hours.

A Threads spokesperson confirmed this to TechCrunch, explaining that the feature is being tested with a limited number of users after being previously leaked by developer Alessandro Paluzzi.

The feature comes months after Instagram chief Adam Mosseri said that Threads was testing an auto-archiving feature.

This optional feature allows users to hide posts, after a certain set period of time.

However, the feature appears to have been less than well received after users responded to the post, in a poll stating that they did not want their posts to be automatically hidden from the public.

The auto-archiving feature has also not been widely released to the public.

Threads had 200 million users in early August.
